AHKs are located in all countries which are of special interest for
German companies.
AHK's are closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce
(IHKs) in Germany. Together, they support German companies with building
up and extending their business relations to foreign countries.
Business Development
The Business Development Department is our structure to facilitate and
develop business-to-business relationships between the SADC- Countries
and Germany. Individual services to companies are subject to commercial
agreement and fees. Members receive a 25% discount rate.

The chamber is operating two new databases and additional resources
to answer all trade development related enquiries, in particular:

from Germany and SADC- countries
- Custom duties applicable to import from Europe and from Southern African
countries
- General marketing statistics about Southern African and German trade
relations. We publish trade enquiries from Germany and South
Africa.
Trade Fairs
We are your one-stop-shop solution on trade fair participation overseas,
especially Germany, and increasingly in other Southern African countries.
While most manufactures and vendors manage to enter overseas markets
only a few can truly succeed. In fact, it is particularly hard for SMEs
to do so; because on the one hand, their business are generally too
small in scale to take part in world-class tradeshows, and on the other
hand, most trading agents do not provide SMEs with enough services that
help them explore the market at low costs. Recognizing both the needs
and the difficulties of SMEs that are eager to set foot overseas, we
offer tailor-made services that consider every single need – helping
SMEs to travel and exhibit in Europe with ease.
As the official representative of six major German trade fair organizers
we have extensive experience and essential know-how in organizing tradeshows.
We provide entrance tickets, visitor brochures, trade fair information
and travel packages for exhibitors and visitors. Whether you are looking
to exhibit at one of the six German trade fair organizations that we
represent by means of a National pavilion or Individual pavilion or
here in Southern Africa, we will assist with exhibition registration
and applications for financial assistance under the Department of Trade
& Industry’s Export Marketing and Investment Assistance Scheme.
